one of my CTE query is completing in around 15 secs .. but the same query is never completing on another instance on the same box .. with same memory,CPU ETC .. all the indexes,stats are up to date on the all the concerned tables ...
the plan explorer tool recommends the insert into #temptable been the most expensive part in the estimated plan for both instances ...
but the query completed fine in instance1 and just keep running on instance2
